DR. JONATHAN S. LO, M.D.

Dr. Jonathan Lo is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon in practice with his father Dr. Samuel Lo.  He specializes in the medical and surgical management of eye diseases.  He has a special interest in traditional and laser cataract surgery, ocular trauma, pterygium, macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, dry eyes, and glasses/contact lens evaluation. 

He is a graduate of Iolani School.  He completed his undergraduate degree at Swarthmore College and received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine, where he was awarded Hawaii Lions Foundation Ophthalmology Award upon graduation.  He completed his internal medicine internship and ophthalmology residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center and the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary.

Dr. Jonathan Lo was the co-captain of the tennis team at Swarthmore College.  In his spare time, he enjoys golf, tennis, traveling, cooking and spending time with his family. 

 

DR. SAMUEL C. LO, O.D., M.D.

Dr. Lo approaches eye disease with a special viewpoint because he is both an optometrist and an eye surgeon.  He is fellowship trained and has been practicing comprehensive ophthalmology in Ala Moana building for over 25 years.  He received his Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University, College of Optometry in Oregon and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine.  He completed internal medicine internship at UH integrated residency program, his ophthalmology residency at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary followed by a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Samuel Lo is fluent in Chinese and English.  His professional experiences include working in California, New York, Saipan, and Hong Kong.  Outside of work, he enjoys tennis, reading, and travel with his family.

We work closely with our employees to teach them the latest technology and skills necessary to assist our physicians.  Our staff has completed many hours of training and tests to be certified in the assistant program.
